Sweet, sweet Kayla was one of my last (newborn) sessions before I went on maternity leave in May and now she’s a bubbly yet contemplative 6 (actually 7) month old. Her Mama brought one of their kitchen chairs to match the darling dress she had in mind for the session and a few other props that meant a lot to their family. I’ll explain when we get there…
Oh candids…
Once we brought out the wood blocks, Kayla got quite possessive of them. So, we switched out the “6” block for a block with a “K” on it for this next series:

This next prop will probably require you to hug a box of kleenex. Kayla’s parents lost a baby girl in their second trimester and there’s a teddy bear company that builds a bear that weighs the same as the child that’s passed. This blessed little bear below weighs a little over one pound and received some sweet snuggles from Kayla.
Lastly, Jessalyn brought her ballet slippers that made their first appearance with Kayla’s newborn photos. Now, instead of propping them next to her as a size comparison, they can get gnawed on a little too! 🙂
