If he can make it through a hike with Mom & Dad, we’re set. Heather thought to herself while they trekked through the trails of beautiful Wyoming. Sure enough, Rob sailed through the obstacles on the trail and together, they’ve braved obstacles of various kinds in the years since. They’ve trekked cross country from Wyoming to New Jersey and have made a home there, finally tying the knot last month at Valenzano Winery in lush and green Shamong, New Jersey.
Heather & Rob opted to see each other for the first time at the altar and the emotion Rob expressed during their vows was so endearing to witness.
After being announced officially Mr. & Mrs., we dove into family photos, bridal party photos and had roughly 10 minutes to do just photos of Rob & Heather. Thankfully, Heather and I had scouted out some spots along Valenzano’s property the day before and we were able to go lickety split to get them to their Grand Entrance on time. 🙂 I have to give credit to Dory, Celeste and their team from Summit Catering: Celeste kept me honest with my timeline and took care of me (hot day + no assistant = must have water!!) just as much as she was attentive to Heather + Rob. No detail was left unattended and the day ran flawlessly because of her orchestration of the day’s events.
After their Grand Entrance and first dances, the clouds opened up and it poured buckets. One could say that angels were crying tears of joy over their union, but Heather’s practical side might chalk it up to New Jersey summer weather that she had planned for in advance with the rental of tents in key areas around the winery’s property. 🙂 Either way, it rained while we were under the pavilion’s cover and the sun shone when we were ready to dance!
Once the cake had been tasted, we had a few moments to spare for some extra bride + groom portraits along Valenzano’s beautiful property. The stormy clouds had given way to white fluffy ones, creating a gorgeous backdrop for a wonderful couple.
Heather + Rob: Thank you so much for entrusting your day’s documentation to me and my camera. It’s an honor that I don’t take lightly and by which I am humbled. Welcome to the family Rob! I hope we can see you two more often in the future-our guest room is always available should you decide to take a trek cross-country once more on your way to Wyoming. 😉
