I can not detail how much I love these two. Their strength, resilience and fierce love for each other has pulled them through seemingly insurmountable obstacles and incredibly difficult circumstances. The fact that they are smiling for my camera is nothing short of miraculous and it is a tall honor for me that every time they visit Iowa, they see me to document each step of this journey they are taking.
These might be my favorite of them to date and I’ve photographed sweet Soren since he was just 3 months old. And every milestone in the 6 years since.

Stacy + Soren: You two are absolutely incredible. I don’t take it lightly that you work so hard to get to Iowa to visit family but always make time to squeeze me into your plans. Thank you so much for sticking with me, even from thousands of miles away.
