They attended our wedding as “Gerard’s colleague and his wife, Elaine.” The following year, Carson was born and I had the fun of photographing him as he grew and as Brecker was added to the mix. By this point, Nick was my colleague as well as I had joined Norwalk’s band department. Now, this year is full of “pinch me” moments as Elaine has joined Norwalk’s ranks and I am so blessed to call her colleague and see her in action. (Not to mention, it’s awesome to not be the only female on the band side of life!) It seemed only fitting that we start our session at the Home of the Warriors, since this is now where both Nick and Elaine, finally, call their work & home, HOME.
Not to overdo where we go to work everyday, we also wanted a taste of nature in their photos too. So, we headed out to Maffitt Reservoir and let the boys run and have fun!
After getting a few wiggles out, we corralled the boys’ energy for a few minutes:
There are ways that my clients walking photos are normal….and then there’s Carson and Brecker’s sense of normal and I LOVE their energy. I wish we could bottle it and sell it!
A few with Mom, climbing with Dad as future Ninja Warriors, and individuals to call it “done”!
Nick + Elaine: It’s been so fun to watch your family grow and your careers align to one locale. I’m excited to work alongside you both and know that I’m bookended by amazing educator examples. It’s a pleasure to call you colleagues and an honor to call you friends.
