This girl. I am so proud of this session and how smoothly it went! From the get-go, I had this feeling in my gut that I wanted to give her the world in a photo session and when her sweet mom walked away from the night saying, “We experienced everything in Iowa except the butter cow in one night!” I knew I’d done my job and taken great care of this client.
That’s been the challenging part of this pandemic: I want to shake hands, high five, or hug at the beginning, middle or end of a session, respectively, and I can’t! I have had to come up with new ways to show my clients that I care & if that means putting out an all-points-bulletin on a barn we can use, mapping out a smooth & direct session to maximize our time & locations (4 locations stretching from the Pedestrian Bridge downtown to Badger Creek State Park near Van Meter to be exact), then that’s what I will do for my clients to feel the love. And the results are stunning if I do say so myself. 😉

Megan’s dad is so resourceful. He really took some for the team effort throughout the session and scrounging around the ground to find already fallen sunflowers to make his girl a bouquet was so endearing. Truly, truly, such an Iowa session on this particular evening! (As if the hay bales by Happy Apple and the barn along our route weren’t enough for ya!)
