These two keep me grounded. Both Kelsey & Greg are educators and I feel like no matter how long it’s been since we last got our families together, we can pick right back where we left off and not skip a beat. We just get each other because of our careers and the ages of our children. It’s been an honor to photograph their family and Kelsey’s extended family-when her father, Tom, was not expected to live much longer, Kelsey’s text asking for a crop of just Tom’s face from one of our extended family sessions was the least I could do for them. Tom bravely battled pancreatic cancer and Kelsey & Greg’s first son is named after him. Sweet Baby Will came along behind and I love photographing them as a family of FIVE!
This session was scheduled after Kelsey got home from a 19 day tour of middle east and eastern countries. That meant 19 days of single parenting for Greg and I could tell by his physical affection for Kelsey during our session, that Greg was mighty glad to have his partner in crime back in his arms (and helping with the kids!).

I think I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating-it truly is an honor to be your friend & photographer. Thank you for that friendship, educator wisdom and humor to keep my perspective in check. You both are a rare find and together you are a force of nature who we love dearly.
