This photo shoot was a long time coming! A Christmas gift to Yvette, we were able to get it on the schedule with her son & his wife from Chicago. Yvette’s daughter, Elaine, and Elaine’s husband Nick, have graced this blog for well over a decade. While Nick & Elaine both tout incredibly smart siblings, they themselves are no slouches either-both are Norwalk’s Teachers of the Year and Elaine was a finalist for Iowa’s Teacher of Year. Incredible colleagues to work alongside in the music department, it was so fun for me to meet Elaine’s “original” family: Peter and his wife, Grace as well as getting to know Yvette more.
I love the versatility of shooting at Des Moines’ Judicial Building just south of the Capitol. The greenery, the trees, the view of downtown and the Capitol…it’s just a wonderful spot!
Yvette and family: It is always fun and entertaining to give you images of your family. It is hard for me to believe that Carson is now towering over most of us and is heading into high school in the fall. I remember when he fit into a Christmas present box under the tree and now we’re brainstorming ideas for his future senior session! I just shake my head in disbelief. Thank you always for your support of my business!
