I love keeping up with my Drake peers, especially when they turned into a bridal client and now have the most adorable family ever. Jonanne (I got the stamp of approval to call her Jo, which I love!), Alex and Benson are such a great trio to photograph and Benson is quite the conversationalist. He has some awesome posing ideas of his own and is a ball of energy. I loved everything about our time together: Jo’s dress, Bensons grin, how high Alex can throw Benson in the air….And I finally got to use a location that I constantly drive by and wish I could photograph someone there. This was the perfect opportunity to use it (scroll to the bottom to find out where!)!!
I’m pretty sure I’m going to use Benson’s outtakes for memes on social media – they crack me up!!
Drum roll please……This is a hill in West Des Moines that I’ve wanted to do a silhouette shot on for YEARS. I’m so glad it worked out on this particular day – harsh sun and all!
Jo, Alex & Benson – Thank you so SO much for a lovely evening with perfect weather! Benson – Thank you for the Transformer ring, what a treasure! Alex – I hope your shoulders aren’t too shredded from throwing Benson so incredibly high! You’re an amazing Dad! And Jo – always a pleasure to see you and the only regret I have for our session is that it had to end. Thank you so much for working with my schedule (perfect excuse for a summer dress purchase 😉 ) and I wish you all a great school year season!
