In the frenzy of spring sports, graduation prep, end-of-year concerts or play performances, it is tricky to maneuver a cap’n gown session, but we got one in with Braydyn! For this world traveler, I thought the World Food Prize would be fitting. And gosh, those columns and arches help one look studious – even more than you already are!
We started on the river-side of the building for shade, knowing it was full sun on the opposite side. Braydyn brought hot weather with him, just like his summer senior session, but still dressed totally appropriately, repping his music-driven career throughout high school. He had some cords with him and let me know they are for his Eagle Scout Award, so you’ll see a close-up of that in this series as well!
Moving to the other side of the building, the Civic Center was graciously shading a large swath of the front yard of the World Food Prize and we used it to our advantage. The tulips were out in full force and most of the prom-goers had dispersed to their dinner plans.
Braydyn –
It’s been so fun to watch you grow in confidence, leadership and skill throughout your high school career. I am so proud of you and know you’ll do incredible things in the coming years. I’m also really thankful that you’ll stay close to home, selfishly, so that you can stick around to mentor our middle school trombone players! It’s going to awesome and I’m so glad you’ve officially tried on your cap to make sure you know how it fits!
