I had to mentally stay in this session more than most just because of who I was photographing. A lifetime-long friend of mine was a bridesmaid for us in 2007 and at the time, she had an almost-1-year-old. Fast forward (almost) 17 years and here we are photographing that precious (formerly) 1-year-old!! Carter is a low-key, quiet young man who is incredibly smart and quick-witted. His subdued one-liners would often catch me off guard and have me chuckling to myself, shaking my head in disbelief that we’re already this old and he’s graduating! No photo session for Carter is complete without his sweet pup, Piper.
No session for Carter would be complete without using all kinds of spots around Jester Park – a favorite camping & golfing area for him and his dad!
We left the bulk of the park behind and headed towards the golf course. Out of the corner of his eye, Carter spotted this fun golf cart that I’m sure they save for occasions such as this and they kindly let us park it in a great location for the amazing glow of the evening! Two back-to-back nights that end on a gorgeous gold course!? Yes, please!
Julie & Bryon – I remember your wedding day vividly and I remember snuggling Carter on my wedding day. I can’t believe we’re here – with a graduating senior! Carter – you knocked it out of the park and I loved spending more time with you, getting to know your interests and ideas for life after senior year. Thank you all for entrusting this momentous occasion to me – it’s an honor & a pleasure!
