Early Graduation, Big Dreams | Brooklyn’s Senior Session in Indianola, Iowa
Brooklyn might be a junior by grade level—but she’s about to cross the stage a whole year early.
This girl has been putting in the work since freshman year to graduate ahead of schedule, and she’s made it happen. It was such a joy to celebrate that achievement with a senior session that was equal parts stylish, sentimental, and fun.
We started downtown on the Indianola square, using all the texture and character of the buildings around us as our backdrop. Then we headed out to a spot that means even more: her grandpa’s acreage.
There’s a pond on his land where Brooklyn spends her summers swimming, fishing, kayaking—bringing friends along and making memories. So naturally, we wrapped up her shoot with some canoe photos on the pond… after we gently “escorted” one very large spider off the boat (priorities!).
Brooklyn’s next goal? Cosmetology school. She’s exploring beauty programs around the Des Moines Metro and dreams of helping others feel confident through the art of styling hair.
I’ve had the gift of working with Brooklyn’s mom at the high school for several years now, and it was such a full-circle moment to get to serve her family in this way.
Brooklyn, I’m cheering for you every step of the way. Keep going. You’re already doing big things.
