She was just about fed up with the online dating scene. He was just getting started. Right about when she was ready to click ‘delete’ on her profile page, Derek’s email came to her inbox and restored her faith in the online process. Derek woo-ed Andrea at an Art Show for one of their first dates and they’ve been together every chance since then. They both have a love for all things “old car”, so we started at Des Moines’ own American Dream Machines to check out a 1960s era Road Runner.
Andrea has two daughters, Olivia and Emma. I actually met Emma before knowing her mom because Emma is a student where I teach. She’s quite a special young lady and navigates the world incredibly well without any assistance while not being able to see well. You can hear her rapid typing skills down the hall while she works on her Braille!
Rather poetic that we ended our session at the Des Moines Art Center since it was an Art Show that got this whole ball rolling, no?…
