Whew! I am so behind on my wrap up posts of 2015! My apologies-2016 has somewhat taken us by storm over here and we’re in the throws of Show Choir season (Gerard), Solo Contest season (both Gerard and me) and potty training (clearly, Laidy). Things seem to be off to great starts all around, so it’s high time I get back to it.
I love looking through some Behind the Scenes photos I get of various things that inevitably happen at a shoot or wedding. Be it me looking super bossy (at a wedding), parents making goof balls of themselves to get their child to smile, or me and my bad posture. Here are some of the best and brightest of 2015:
First up, from my cousin, Ali’s wedding this past summer. I think my all-time favorite with a bride is the one of us hugging. She gives the best hugs!
At another wedding this summer, my 2nd shooter saw some great moments when photographers aren’t just working their camera….we wear many hats on a wedding day! (Yes, that is my husband and daughter helping me get light settings right for family photos. . . .And no, that is not a regular occurrence.)
Next up: I sometimes have awesome stylists in the moms/friends I know. Between getting dresses straightened, hair coifed and spit up wiped off, they are nothing short of miracle workers!
Even the dads get involved!
And sometimes they might get a balloon too close for comfort (to being popped) or attacked by a toddler:
And, let’s face it, we live in Iowa, so there will be bugs:
And yes, we have our fair share of squinting, yawning, and dog-licking!
All in all, 2015 was the most successful year or business for me and I can’t wait to see what new friends, deeper friendships and fun times 2016 brings! Thank you to everyone who made this past year an awesome one with my camera!! I am convinced I have the best clients in the world. Hands down-no contest.
