Knowing they would be in town for a friend’s wedding (Jon was a groomsman), and that they would have a two-week old baby girl to photograph, Jess contacted me to see if we could do photos prior to the start of wedding prep and rehearsal festivities. I admire her strength (physical and emotional!) to make a road trip with such a new little one, their young son, and ramp up for wedding events. Thankfully, Jess’ mom was not only a helper for the road, but parents of the bridal party were invited to this wedding too. (You’ll get to see that post in a little bit!)
What’s special about our location is that Jess + Jon had their wedding photos taken here as well, so it seemed only logical to show the growth in their family since they were last here!
Their son, Charlie, dotes on baby sister Evia. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an older brother lavish so many kisses on a baby! But then, I see how his Daddy dotes on his Mama and it totally makes sense. Sweet, sweet moments! 🙂
Jess + Jon: Thank you so much for squeezing me in when you had soooo many activities to juggle! I look forward to seeing you again in the future should your travels bring you Des Moines-way soon!! Charlie did an outstanding job as a ring bearer (and Jon was quite a good groomsman too) 🙂 Now get some rest!!
