Senior season is officially underway!! And this one felt extra special.
The first time I photographed Brant, he was a little guy running around with his sister Elise, his parents Sarah and Chris, and their pup Roxie. That was 13 years ago.
Now, he’s heading into his senior year, tackling advanced math and science courses and exploring an interest in engineering. Somehow, in what feels like the blink of an eye, that little boy is preparing for his next big chapter.
We started at Maffitt Reservoir with storm clouds already gathering in the distance. The thunder was rolling, so we moved quickly before heading back to their beautiful new-to-them home for family photos and more senior portraits.
Honestly, it turned out to be the perfect plan.
Roxie brought her usual diva energy, Elise joined in, we got to feature their gorgeous pond, and just as we wrapped up, the sky completely opened up. Wind, rain, and even a little hail arrived right on cue! 🌧️😂

As much as I loved celebrating Brant and all he’s accomplished, my favorite part of the evening was something else.
Lately, I’ve had more and more opportunities to photograph seniors whose lives I’ve documented since they were little. It never gets old!
There is something incredibly special about being invited back into a family’s story year after year and getting a front-row seat to these milestones.
Sarah, Chris, Elise, and Brant—thank you for letting me celebrate this season with you. What a gift it has been to watch your family grow!
